Esthetica: "Commitment to Sustainable Fashion"

Esthetica is an initiative by the British Fashion Council. Established for over 6 years now, the aim of Esthetica is to bring out the design excellence of designers working with a commitment towards creating "sustainable fashion". This year, it has been sponsored by Monsoon and showcased the works of 13 leading designers in the industry.

The requisites for designers to be able to showcase their works in this show is to have adhered to at least one of the key Esthetica principles of fair trade (not necessarily ©FairTrade) and ethical practices of production. And materials-wise, designers do need to use organic fibers or/and recycled and up-cycled (as the BFC calls it) materials and fabrics.
